David, your economy with words is inspiring.

David,
This reminds me of a lesson I created for my US History students in 1998. While teaching the "concept" of segregation and difference, I brought the studentes small pebbles. I passed out a stone to each one, and asked them to put it between their sock and their shoe; and, for an hour, to keep it there...the only rule, no telling anyone you had it, no complaining that it was there
The next day's discussion was amazing. Students said things like:
"I felt different, but couldn't tell anyone why."
"I didn't like being uncomfortable, but I couldn't ask for help."
"It hurt; it was hard not being able to do things other students could, like run down the hall to class."
I remember that lesson to this day. Unless one is there, it's hard to imagine what it would be like. My take-away: Do what I can here, plan what I can for there, and re-evaluate upon arrival. What has to be cleaned up before I can focus at 100%?

Thanks for the update. Why do I feel like the blog equivalent of "I didn't read the book, I saw the movie", yet in my case "I read the blog" :-P
...I wonder how a blog entry would need to be formed to satisfy the following google definition query requirements: http://www.google.com/search?q=define%3A+positive+processing

I thought it rang a bell !
I took it to mean that the small annoying little details of life that GTD is designed to get out of our heads, can totally ruin the pursuit of larger life goals and projects.

Hi Felix, sorry you are unable to retrieve the document. Unfortunately, that is an external Air Force web site; David has no control over it. I've tested the link from here and it works for me.

I seem to be having problems viewing the essay. Clicking on the link brings up a new window of the exact same page.
