European jaunt
Just a hello to any readers, from the "capital of Europe" - Brussels. Kathryn and I are on a 3-week trip across the pond, half business with four seminars I'm doing for IMS (I'm a presenter on the faculty of IMS, the Institute for Management Studies). Did Edinburgh and Manchester this last week, will be conducting seminars in Brussels Monday and The Hague on Tuesday. Kathryn and I are taking the opportunity to see some places we've never been - namely Belgium, The Hague, and then we're unhooking for a full week in Paris, with nothing to do but Paris. Yumm.
This afternoon, Kathryn snapped a pic as we were walking around Bruges, on an afternoon trip over from Brussels...

Hi just testing to see how this works. I don't know if what I'm writing will actually be posted anywhere once I hit send hahaha :)
Anyway
I love your book! "Getting things Done"
Thank you very much.
Jean-Pierre
P.S.
I hope you and your wife have a great time in Europe! Those are some very places that I hope to visit someday as well. (I'm living in OZ now)

Great pic!
Brugges is a lovely city. I need to figure out if my ancestors really came from there, and if so, why they went to Minnesota?

A half day for Brussels and a Half day for Brugge, It's really too short !!.
20 year that i'm visiting Brugge, and i discover this wonderful town every time.
But ok, I'm living at 80km not at 8000 !!!!
Next time take 1 day for Paris, and one week for Belgium.

David, not sure how you will be getting to Paris from Belgium, but if you are driving, you will likely pass through Mons, Belgium, which is about 20 clicks (kilometers) from the border.
I had the opportunity to live in Mons for several years when we were stationed at S.H.A.P.E. [NATO Counterpart].
If you stop on Mons on your way, be sure to visit the Grand Place (Center of town) and pat the head of the monkey statue to the right of the Hotel de Ville (City Hall). It's supposed to bring good luck. Not sure about the luck, but it makes for a great photo anyway.
Two buildings to the left, should be a great Frite Stand -- I hope it's still there!
Best regards to you and Kathryn.

When you get the opportunity take a stroll on the Lange Voorhout when you are in The Hague.

Ok, if nobody else is going to ask, I will.
David, what’s in the bag? What GTD gear does a black belt road warrior carry about on a sightseeing/business stroll abroad?
(I deteriorate to the scraps-of-paper level in the same situation).
