Chirill at lunch

Wow. We're in a Major Tech Meeting for David Allen Company this weekend at my house. What horsepower! For instance, a master programmer from Moldova, who we're lucky enough to have now on our staff - Chirill Trescencov. You'll be seeing more, no not seeing really, but experiencing more of his handiwork in the next few months.

This is GREAT news. I would love DA co to develop a productivity tool internally.

Even better though, I'd love DA co to license the "Getting Things Done" methodology to independent software companies, and for a fee provide consulting, licensing, and a "Built for GTD" logo system-- maybe even a share of the revenue generated from the resultant products...

Having GTD seamlessly plug-in-able to whatever you're doing may be a ways away. Please don't get too many hopes up. We're on that R&D path, but it's been a long and winding road, and I'm expecting it to continue as such...

jake had a very very good idea, i for one would make sure to get s/w and or add ins bearing the GTD logo.

If it's a ways away, why are you getting us so excited? :)

Actually, I didn't assume that people would assume that Web-based stuff was necessarily PIM-oriented material. In truth, that's something we're in long-term R&D mode about, but what's coming shorter term is the ability to communicate in a more rich and consistent way with our database of clients and friends, using the technology as a way to support both the communication (marketing) and delivery of various tiers of our services and relationships. Sorry if I misled you...
