I'm doing a Microsoft Leadership Forum Aug. 18

As a way of promoting their Web meeting tech, Live Meeting, Microsoft is running a series of free webinars with business "names" (can I be a "name" and a pretty face?). I'm scheduled for August 18, if any of you care to sit in on a one-hour session of "GTD Light" and its implications in organizational process.

I've done several webinars before, and the MS guys walked me through theirs this afternoon. Have to say, it looks pretty good, given my experience with some of the other stuff out there.

Is there another way to register?

Hmm - I seemed to register (or at least it sent me an email saying so...)

But - I might not be able to make it - does anybody know if it will be archived somewhere?

Registered!

1. It would be great for them to use a better image of the book cover. It looks very pixely on my machine, and rather crummy.

2. With regard to the site, you may need to drop some firewall controls to get through the registration process, then you will need to download a LiveMeeting install (or else use the Web interface to the event). If anyone is still having trouble, drop me an e-mail and I can maybe Skype or maybe MSN Messenger you through it.

The monlithic MS web site is not easy to manage.

It appears this even requires NetMeeting, and it would appear we Mac users are out of luck. Anyone on a Mac know otherwise?

You don't need NetMeeting - this is Live Meeting. Live Meeting runs on the Mac through the browser using Java (see the link on my name below).

Registered! If I can get my boss(es)to watch the webinar with me, this will be a great opportunity to convince them that we should all go to Seattle in November...

Thanks for the head's up, David!!

Just attended the Livemeeting...nice, thanks David. I've been listening to your audio book on the drive to work, it has helped.

The LiveMeeting was great! Did you remember to breath or have you found an alternative? I went from the session to reviewing Buzz's wonderful notes on the Road Map event at http://buzzmodo.typepad.com/buzznovation/2005/08/gtdthe_road_map.html, so I'm definitely fired up. Now I need to get present to my day and my commitments -- Right after I put some serious time for work on my system into my calendar [;<).

Any ideas on when the archive will be available? I had to leave halfway through due to another meeting I needed to attend. That means I missed most of the good stuff. I will check out some of the above links in the meantime.

Thanks.

The webinar was great! I'm new to GTD and have been trying to talk it up at work, with little success. This webinar opened up a great dialog between me, my co-worker, and our boss about GTD; and gave my previous rantings a little more credibility. The ball is rolling! :-)

David's webinar was excellent - over 500 attendees! The session moderator mentioned that the session archive (audio and slides) would be available on LiveMeeting.com, but haven't seen them appear as of today.

This may be an interesting vehicle for small-group coaching or focus sessions on particular areas of interest.

Thanks again David!

This was great, David. Thank you. As a result I've made great leaps this weekend in getting the system into place, and seeing great results. I want to share the LiveMeeting archive with my coach and my wife - but it's doesn't seem to be available yet. Any prediction as to when?

Great news! The webinar archive is posted at:

Look for "Knowledge Work Athletics" dated 8/18/05
