Dylan
While unpacking tonight at my hotel here in Burlington (VT), happened to catch the last half of the first half of No Direction Home - the Scorsese/PBS production. Very well done...interesting behind the scenes of the sources of lots of nostalgia for those of us who trekked our psyches through the '60's. You can still get the whole thing tonight on the west coast, and the second half tomorrow night, on PBS.

David - it's already available as a DVD as well the CD soundtrack and "companion book" - a marketing trend Scorsese started with his Blues documentary. We watched part one last night and had a few nice trips down memory lane. Nice to see Dylan get his current perspective on what was happening back them woven into the narrative - too often these things are done after the subject has passed on.

My favorite Hotel in that area is the Inn at Essex.. the Food is great, the atmosphere almost home.. I always ask for that one first..
Hope you enjoyed your stay there.. and don't forget to take one of the Ferries on Historic Lake Champlain.. it was the site of one of the great naval battles of the early history of the United States!
I think I saw that on, but NOVA was on the HD channel and I'll watch that in HD any chance I can get. (I get KQED up here and 9-1 is nice to watch - the special effects showing the emptying of Lake Missoula left just a little to be desired, but the HighDef video from the scablands were quite nice. Formed in a flood like we have never seen.
