I'm wondering if anyone has information about/experience with implementing GTD in cultures that aren't really task-oriented. e.g. places where the "manana" attitude is prevalent, or the "bokra" attitude (Spanish and Arabic respectively, for "tomorrow," I believe).

I guess I'm wondering if working a system like GTD could _motivate_ people to get more done in a culture where putting things off is the accepted norm. Dunno if I'm making any sense. I'm sure someone will let me know if I'm not. :)

There's an interesting thread about this in the "Creating a GTD Culture" discussions on GTD Connect: http://www.davidco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9897
