Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to classify a project as a subproject after creation.

I can see no problem if you are using a paper notebook for your GTD lists.

I just drag the piece I want to be a subproject into the main project. I use Omnifocus. However I usually find I go the other way. Sub projects become full blown ones far far more often than the other way around.

Hello!
I agree there's no problem creating subprojects - just make sure that your primary project is a project and not an area of focus. In other words, if it's something that can be finished (repair sprinklers, complete proposal), it's a project. If it can't (health, auto maintenance), then it's an area of focus. Does that make sense?
