Barnes & Noble Course?

I notice in one topic area some folks refer to the Barnes and Noble Course. What is this? I am familiar with the Fast cds of DA Seminar but not the B & N course.

Since I found the book intrigueing but the ideas and techno-based vocabulary hard to grasp, the course helped me see what I needed to break down into smaller elements to understand. It also sort of paces you into the book at a rate you might not pursue otherwise.

I "lurked" through Jason's class earlier this year and found it a great refresher. I use the GTD Fast CDs for a jolt while I'm doing my weekly reviews and I use the Outllok add-in all day every day so GTD is pretty firmly embedded in my routines.

The value in the course, like participating in these forums, is that you see how others are making the principles work and learn from their questions. Jason is a great coach and is very responsive to the students' questions.

Say - does anyone here know what B&N subject heading that the GTD class is listed under?

I did a short search over at BN University, but couldn't find it.

Getting Things Done is usually listed under Life Improvement. The last time the class was offered, Jason said he wasn't sure when it would next be offered. He has been traveling quite a lot, so I imagine his schedule hasn't been sufficiently free to teach the class.

Check back every month. I'm sure it will be offered again. Usually, classes for the next month are listed when current month classes begin. It's a good idea to sign up early for GTD. It's generally a quite popular class.

You can get the book anywhere - or don't buy the book at all. Their course evaluation even has a question about the text -- did you buy it online, at a B&N store, some other store, already had the book.

Many people take the same course over and over -- GTD is one of those classes that has repeat students. I often buy my texts at B&N just as an appreciation for the classes they offer.
