I have the regular audio CD's for GTD. I keep reading about the GTD Fast. Is it worth trying to find a copy of GTD Fast? Is there any new content that would be useful?

TIA,
Melanie

Yes. Absolutely. Buy buy buy.

The difference I find is that if you just read the book, your mind will be full of next actions, lists, tickler files, gear etc.

However, if you listen to GTD Fast, the whole emphasis is tilted towards what you can do with a freed up brain.

Go for it.

I agree completely.
The FAST CD puts things in so much better perspective.
And it's entertaining.
Well worth the cost, if you can find it now.

So it's definately different than the regular Audio CD version of GTD. I have both the book and CD version?

I wanted to make sure you understood that I already have the Audio CD version of GTD.

If the GTD fast is so good, I sure hope I can find it!!!

The GTD Fast audio program is recorded from David Allen's GTD seminars, not from the book. There is less of an emphasis on the nuts-and-bolts implementation stuff... more on why the system works and what benefits you can get from it.

And, as spectecGTD says, it's entertaining.

If you can find it, buy... if not, DavidCo is supposed to be working on some new product to help fill that niche.

GTD Fast is much better. Maybe you could do what I did - I talked my public library into buying it.

Where there's a will there's a way out.

Thanks everyone,

Not having luck finding it. I guess It would have to be on the secondary market. I will keep looking though. I'd be totally excited to listen to it!!!

I have a set of the “Getting Things Done... FAST” CDs, but unfortunately, I have lost CD #4. Does anyone know where you can buy a set of these? I have search everywhere, including eBay.

I had to hunt around to get the GTD Fast CD's but they were well worth it.

All the reasons people have given in this thread all apply here and I'd only add that it's the little comments that David makes in between the bigger points that sets these CD's appart from the structured and rehearsed "normal" version and which makes them worth having.

Several "ah-ha" moments and things that will stay with you for a long time. Do whatever you can to get them, if you still can that is!!

1) Always backup your most valuable audio CDs (MP3).
2) Never buy copy protected audio CDs.

Never buy copy protected audio CDs.
How do you do that? Is copy protection indicated on the label?

There were several copies of GTD... Fast on sale on UK eBay last week - I bought one, and it's great! - there's a link to the page on a thread I started here - I think the title was 'Audio in the UK...'

Avoid the CDs with the Copy Control logo!
