Some of my calls can only be made on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, some during afternoons only. Would I numb myself to the list if I keep these all together, since I wouldn't be able to do some of them? Should I set a stricter criteria?

One thing you could do is use a prefix for your @calls entries.
@calls
MWF: Call Jim
MWF: Call George
AFT: Call vendor
AFT: Call my mom
I do this with actions that are associated with my 2 or 3 most active projects. I have a 3 or 4 letter abbreviation for each project. So, if I am working just on that project for a couple hours, I can go to the appropriate context and see "PRJ1:Draft Proposal for consulting contract". As they are sorted in Outlook alphabetically, this helps me skim the list quickly to the actions in that context that are appropriate.

My 2c. if it's this week Monday only then I'd put it to Calendar. If it's any Monday then it could go on the Calendar as a routine as well.

It never worked for me anyway. Let's say I find some wierd window of time and have a phone at my disposal. Guess what? I don't have all those phone numbers in my head, I need to consult my computer/planner. So @calls is either @office or @mobilephone.

DA suggests that you have the numbers on your list so that you can make those calls when you have that weird window of time.
I suggest that you take the time to write the phone number itself alongside each item. There are many situations in which you would probably make the call if the number was already there in front of you but not if you had to look it up.

Do you often go somewhere without your mobile phone? Mine is just about always with me.
