It is said that you are more productive and energetic if you take breaks every hour or so.

Walks are refreshing.

Some people juggle.

I've also tried a PowerBall, which is currently sitting in a bookcase, but which I should revive.

Any other suggestions for activities that restore balance, rest your eyes, and wake you up?

Thanks,
Arc

Meditating for a few minutes is good.

A cup of tea and a cookie.

I feel better after I physically refocus my eyes on something in the distance, even just the end of the hall.

If climbing less than 6 floors, use the stairway.
Bike to work.

Make a lap of your floor (if working in an office building) or outside around your building. Get a fresh drink of water on your way back to your seat.

One of my favourite recharging activities at work is feeding and watching the chickadees that come to visit me at my office window, especially in winter.

Why less than six floors?

Why less than six floors?

2 reasons:
1. More than 5 floors need to much time.
2. Most of my "travels" are less than 6 floors btw. my office is in 5th floor (Germany; begin counting with 0)

Too much time or too much effort? I think you need no more than 30 seconds per floor.

I have some dumb bells and a trampoline in my home office. Ten minutes with one of these and your cauldron of ideas overflows again.
