I use Outlook 2007 at work but am not licensed for OneNote. It is so tightly integrated into our company-wide environment that I simply can't get away from it. How can I best implement GTD into Outlook. What tools are the best for this?

There are several Outlook add-ins available. DA recommends the one from NetCentrics (https://gtdsupport.netcentrics.com/home/), but there are others as well.

I am no expert and have not tried the various add-ins, but it's been my experience that vanilla Outlook (without add-on) can already be used quite effectively for GTD. I can imagine that add-ons can streamline the process further, but all of the needed functionality already seems to exist in Outlook.
I'd love to hear from others if I'm missing out on something big, however!

p.s. I especially like the tight coupling between Mail and Tasks in Outlook, which allows easily creating new tasks based on emails. This way I don't need to maintain a separate NA list as a @NA folder inside an email program: _all_ my NAs are in Tasks, including email-based ones.

I use the add-in from Netcentrics and I really like it. I know you can set up outlook to do what you need it too but this is a pretty good shortcut. The only drawback is that it doesn't handle Entrusted emails/tasks at all and that's our standard here. Other than that the software has worked very well and support has been great!

There is a podcast in the GTD virtual study group in which Jim McCullen explaines how he set up Outlook's inbox as his main platform to do al his GTD in. It sounded pretty impressive, he seems to have put a lot of thought into it.
