Hi

What do you think -- are these the viewable concrete products of executing the GTD process?

Thanks,
Rob

capture -- an inbasket of stuff, physical or online
clarify -- a project, defined by a desired end result -- the end result could be action or state of being
organize -- lists of action items sorted by context
reflect -- updated lists of projects and actions
engage -- a focused, non-distracted GTD practitioner

These are the concrete products of doing GTD, but I'd add a couple of items under organize. In addition to your action lists, you have filing systems for general reference material and incubation systems for items to be reviewed at a later date.

And to abbreviate it using the initials, that would give "ccore". Maybe "'c-core' the concrete core of gtd" or something like that.

capture - I agree - inboxes of various types

clarify - garbage bins (real and electronic) full of useless stuff; outcomes or things that you want to have your attention on at some later time or context; pieces of information or objects that you want to be able to access on demand

organize - three sets of systems - one set of systems for reminding you (either automatically or via regular review) of outcomes, intentions, inspirations, or information at appropriate times or intervals (calenders, to do reminders, outcomes lists that are reviewed regularly); another set of systems for reminding you of physical actions to take when you are in the appropriate context (i.e. action lists that are reviewed in specific contexts); a third set of systems for reference, filing, and storage to access things by index on demand

reflect - updated systems of reminders, context lists, and reference/storage

engage - said GTD master
