Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term:

I have tried to implement GTD using Evernote. I felt that Evernote was a good tool to use for data referencing, but I have a problem when using it for administering projects and actions. My problem is with that my action lists are overpopulated with actions that are not relevant.
My office is being converted to "flex workspace."
What this means is that I will be expected to work from home at least 2 days a week, and when I do come into the office, I will have to sign into a system and be given a new random desk each day.
Well, with a setup like this, keeping paper...
My company is "going Google" so I'll be switching from Outlook to GMail. I'm very happy about this overall but I am a big fan of the Follow-Up flag in Outlook. I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find the equivalent functionality in GMail - anyone have a suggestion for this? Are...
Drafts has become an InBox for my iPad and iPhone. It lives in my Dock. When I open Drafts it has a blank note and the keyboard is active. I can very quickly type in some text then from within Drafts I can send it to Reminders or if I type in multiple lines I can send them all as an entire list to...
I posted detailed blog post (link below)here about how to GTD a Moleskine. I'm interested to hear feedback from users here about their experiences as I'd like to refine my method.
Thanks for the help.
David mentioned in this interview http://www.gtdtimes.com/2013/05/09/your-front-row-seat-for-this-interview-with-david-allen-at-the-sang-conference/ that he switched to iPhone from Blackberry. Interesting which apps he is using for next actions, projects, reference system. How it's synced back with...
I have been using Things for a while, basically since the beta prior to the 2.0 release.
It's worked well, with fast syncing, and I had found a simple implementation that
was very vanilla and very fast. Last night I was having a problem with the clipping
feature on my Mac Book Air, and decided...

• To view more than one list at a time, shift-click or CMD-click lists in the sidebar

I do not have Microsoft Office, an actual Outlook program. However, I do use outlook(dot)com as my mail system, as well as the related Calendar and SkyDrive apps. Within SkyDrive the ability to creak OneNote notebooks and folders within for note taking and organizing. I downloaded the GTD &...
I just tried this out to see if it would work and it did :-)
Select all or some items in a list (shift/click or cmd/click). Drag the items to Completed in the sidebar. All items get checked.
Go to Completed in the sidebar. Select items you want to uncheck. Drag the items to any list. All...
System Preferences > Language & Text > Text
Type in shortcut followed by replacement
Type Cc anywhere and it gets expanded to @Calls. Add to Reminders items and search for @Calls and you can bring in action items from various lists that...
I am interested in purchasing a mind-mapping program. I have seen a lot about MindManager and Personal Brain. Any suggestions and/or comments about these two programs? Which one should I choose?
I'm trying out Touchdown with android syncing to outlook. I can't find anyway to create new categories. Is this really the case?9
I have never used Omnifocus but after seeing a number of reviews/write ups on it I was just wondering is there a good substitute for Omnifocus but on a Microsoft based computer?
Does anyone have a solution for Editing the subject line of an email in Apple Mail 4.5 (Snow Leopard) ?
It would really help with filing etc.
I have a work around of saving the email in "Drafts" and editing the subject, then putting it back into the Inbox, but Apple Mail then changes the...
I there anyone who has experience with Prezi?
I am new here. Please correct me if I breach etiquette in any way, and let me know.
Recently, I discovered Evernote (EN) in my quest to tame the paper tiger. I have been using it in conjunction with a Fuji ScanSnap for a about a month now, and I am in love with the setup. Now, it is time for...
when I write a long reply to the forum I get logged out and then it asks for my login and I have lost my reply.
Don't feel like posting now since I've written it twice and it hasn't gone up.
And I had a really good response too
I've been so excited about the David Allen Co. / Intentional Software partnership. I was hoping to participate in the process in some small way by registering to get updates and provide feedback. But before I gave my email address out, I checked to make sure that it wouldn't be rented, sold,...
