Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term: http://www.davidco.com/what_is_gtd.php

I know I have had a number of issues trying to implement while using a Palm. It maybe that my previous system is so ingrained that it is difficult to over come the programming. But they all seemed to be around the Palm. In discussing this with a friend who is familiar with GTD, he suggested that...
Hi, Although GTD specifies a simple system, I have trouble with that as I live by structure and organization. Hence, I am looking at Act as it allows me to keep track of everything through histories and links. I have found that Companion Link wil sync Act with Pocket PC and you can preserve...
I am in the middle of switching from paper "back" to a Palm in implementing GTD. When you have a next action that has to be done on a specific date but not a specific time, how/where do you put it? You can't put it on a next action list, as you might not look at that list that day. It seems like...
The GTD simple system does not work with me as I prefer structure and organization on where I store my information. I am looking at alternative methods to use between my PPC and desktop such that I can acheive this structure. One example is Act as posted in my previous thread. Anyone have any...
This posting board is Palm compliant using AvantGo. You can't post using it, but you can read everything. Even the icons come over no problem. If any of you Palm folks are not using AvantGo, you are really missing out. "How do you keep up to date with all the NASCAR point standings?" ...
:( Has any one expereienced conduit conflicts with Ecco and HanDbase or Shadow Plan? I have given it two tries and while Ecco installs flawlessy and works fine I cannot snyc HanDbase 3.0 or Shadowplan. Can anyone give me any insight on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance George
Since picking up GTD in January I have evaluated many PIM tools on the Palm, PPC, and PC. My last big adventure was with Excel, but currently I am having even more fun doing GTD in Ecco, syncing to an NV-70 Palm (Clie). It is hard to see how anything is ever going to beat Ecco as an awesome tool...
I tend to be a "nervous Nellie" (no offense Nellie) when it comes to upgrading software. I am getting ready to load latest version of the Palm desktop. Plam Desktop 4.0.1 has been ROCK SOLID and I couldn't be happier. I use and sbuse it and have never had problem 1. In fact, just recently...
There are some new mobile phone/PDA combinations on the market. Any reviews/comments/suggestions? I am still playing the Sanyo phone - Sony Clie' juggling act. Thanks, Bill.
Perhaps I've just had a sheltered life, but the stationery I've always used appears subtly different from the norms across the pond. Most crucially, loose papers are either filed in a binder or in a soft plastic wallet which would not stand up on its own. Can someone post a detailed...
I'm considering purchasing the GTD add-in, but before I do I have a question: I currently sync. between 2 PC's - one at home and one at the office. I use my Palm Pilot as the conduit between the two platforms. In the product tour, it looks like there are several attributes that relate to tasks...
On its most basic level, what kind of functionality would you expect from a GTD Outlook Plug-in?
Hello, Before buying the GTD outlook add-in, I wanted to see if anyone has had any conflicts with any other Outlook add-ins? Specifically, Franklin Covey's PlanPlus for Outlook. I've finally got that one running right, and I'd like to know if anyone has both installed, and if they played well...
Any new information about when the GTD Outlook plug-in will be available? Looking forward to trying/using it.
Anybody using Journaling Software? Something to record & ponder some of the higher realms of our lives? I've been allowing myself to get assaulted by the wide array of programs including paper that are available. I want to keep a personal journal & a professional journal. Any ideas including...
The problems I reported (Handspring pro syncing to Outlook using the Handspring/Chapura software) disappear with a simple expedient (suggested by Greg Bell at Netcentrics): sync with outlook running. If you sync with Outlook not running, the Outlook add-on cannot function with the Chapura software....
I would very much like to get the GTD plug-in, but I absolutely need to synchronize with my Handspring. I do 90% of my data entry on my PC, then I synchronize to my PDA; I use my Handspring to carry my info around, throughout the day and check things off when done. Has anyone had any experience...
:?: Will the new add on work with Outlook 97? Has anyone tried?
There were some posts on the notetaker (where does the name "evening module" come from) wallet a while back that now appear to be lost. Someone recommended a less expensive alternative that I cannot recollect. Please remind me. DM
Hi everyone, I'm contemplating purchasing the GTD for Outlook plug-in.... if I do so, what sort of functionality would that add to my Palm? I keep all of my GTD lists (save those which must be paper-based) on my Palm, but I do communicate heavily with email and rely on Outlook for all email...
