Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term: http://www.davidco.com/what_is_gtd.php

Does anyone use the Journal feature in outlook with GTD? Has anyone come up with a good way to use it at all?
I just found My Dream Desktop Organizer on the Levenger site and to my horror it was $98. Does anyone know of any nice desktop organization and organization product sites that aren't that outrageous? Their is no way that that desktop organizer is worth $98
Are either of DA's books available in PDF form? if not, are their any plans?
Anyone using Heat by Front Range Solutions in an IT environment who is experienced with GTD? My company is implementing it and my department is hoping we can implement GTD into it but we don't know what to expect.
I recently just got a pro account on remember the milk and synced my blackberry to it. I noticed that it took my categories on my tasks which I use for contexts and created lists from those contexts. As I use the program I have noticed that rmilk has tags in addition to lists. What is the...
I just bought this sucker and I have to tell you it is LOUD! If getting up early is important to you and you don't mind waking up terrified every morning thinking a train crashed into your house; buy one of these. http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/giftsunder50/8f1a/
Good morning wonderfully helpful GTDers out there! I am here to ask a question to your collective tech wisdom involving Microsoft Outlook. In Outlook tasks under Recurrence I can set a task to recur Daily, weekly, monthly, or Yearly. Under daily I have options to set: Every "n"...
Hi I just got a new phone that uses windows mobile (tmobile wing), and need some help getting my notes sorted/filtered by category. The phone let's me filter my tasks by category, but not my notes. The only option I see for sorting/filtering notes in by folder, which doesn't work out so well...
I have been lurking around this site for a long time, mostly just profiting from the inspiring posts of other users to get myself organized a little better. Now finally I discovered a thing myself worthy of a first post: it’s called the “Taschenbegleiter” (say 'tuh-shen-buh-gli-ter' ;) ) by...
Ho - i use outlook 2007 with the netcentrics GTD plugin. It works well, and I was very happy having tasks sync to my Blackberry, as the BB task app allowed me to view my next actions by context. Recently I've started also using an iphone with ios5 and the reminder app. I am able to sync tasks...
Hi folks. I'm a few months into GTD. I'm still learning and and clearly seeing value in it. I've had an "Outlook dependency" for several years, and have appreciated the ability to sync Outlook with my Palm Treo. I've only had my Treo about a year but love the fact that I went from two "bricks" to...
Hello, Anyone using Mac's iCal in conjunction with GTD process? How's it going. I haven't figured out how to integrate the two, but I'm a newbie to GTD. I read 2/3 of book and took seminar in DC March 07.
Hi everyone. I have used Palm devices since 1998, but I am a GTD newbie. Here is my question: Using the built-in To Do application in GTD, how do you show which Next Actions are connected to which Projects? Right now, all of my To Do categories are named according to context (@Home, @Desk,...
Hi everyone, I have recently installed the GTD plugin for Outlook (2003). Everything seems to be going well with one exception: When I read the GTD User Manual, it shows, under "Managing Your Tasks" and then "New Project Task Button," a screenshot of the "Tasks" section of Outlook. In that...
Hi everyone. First the backstory: I got out of grad school in 1997 and started working and trying to use a DayTimer. It did not work because it was huge and ugly and I hated carrying it around. In February 1998, I bought a Palm III, which worked well for me. It was fun to use, and always with...
I have been using OneNote 2007 for a few months now as my almost exclusive GTD tool. I decided to try and stick with one tool as far as I could rather than evaluating (procrastinating??) every new web based application, one of which seems to be realeased on an almost weekly basis these days. I...
I would like to have a filter that would let me see the Parent if none of the Children of that Parent are linked to my "To Do" list in DateBk5. This would ensure me that I have at least one Next Action linked for every "project" (Parent). Any suggestions on how I could set up this filter?
I don't know a thing about RSS. I believe I need an RSS reader to be able to sign up for Blog changes etc. Could you please direct me to a good download or article to know how to get started with this? Thanks.
I have been working on a project for a while now, to put together an effective calendar system that incorporates the features of GTD with the unique needs of my meatspace job. I have posted previously on the Gear that I use to stay organized, and while it is working well enough, it is somewhat...
