Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term:
Many have asked if they can help fight spam in this forum. In the bottom left corner of each and every post there is a little "Report Post" icon. You will need to be logged into the Forums to see this icon. It looks like this:

I need a recommendation on filing cabinets. I'm leaning toward the HON 370 Series. I like the spring-loaded follower blocks. What do you use that you like?
Can anyone comment on what the differences are between the Outlook configuration you would get by following the Implementing David Allen's Workflow Processing Using Microsoft Outlook document, and the Outlook configuration you get after installing the Getting Things Done Outlook Add-In? I'm mainly...
I am one of those palm to pocket pc converts and currently use a T-Mobile MDA. It would be nice to gtd on the pocket as much as possible like the outlook addin does.
Maybe you could team up with developerone at www.developerone.com ? They have done a very fine masterpiece of PIM which...
I just started the paper based GTD and I am going to use my computer to manage GTD. I already bought the Outlook add-in but in the book David mentions that he uses Act. I am confused on which to use. I would like to hear your feedback.
I've been waiting for a good thread (or have missed the same) on a review of the new plug-in. Is anyone out there using it? If so, has it helped? a little? a lot?
For some time I have been using the Opera browser - it's very cool, very fast and has some neat features. The beta release of version 7 looks great, but the interesting part is a new email client: M2 - they are taking a new approach to organizing email, and I would be interested in other people's...
Does anyone have the Getting Things Done...fast CD or tape set? I have read the book two times and have started to implement the system. I was wondering if there is a lot more information in the set? Thanks for your help.
I hope you don't mind my Slightly Off Topic post. I wish to sync appointments that I share with my husband via beaming from my PDA to his PDA. Can this be done without loading memory hogging Datebk5? If so, how?
Or should I just stick with creating the appts in MS Outlook and sending him an...
I had many items listed in my Someday/Maybe and now they are gone. Can anyone tell me why this would happen. It is very aggravating, because now I have to try to recreate my Someday/Maybes.
I am keen to integrate a reflective diary into my process on Handspring/Outlook.
I had thought of using a set of memos with headings such as 4/11/02-10/11/02.
Searching these would be covered in both Handspring and Outlook, but I'm not sure if this is the best way. I also have Wordsmith on...
Is anyone using a digital voice recorder (pocket variety), downloading the file to the PC and then converting them (transcribing) "automatically" with a voice recognition software? Can it be done? Recommended set ups for Windows? TIA.
I'm contemplating purchasing the GTD for Outlook plug-in.... if I do so, what sort of functionality would that add to my Palm? I keep all of my GTD lists (save those which must be paper-based) on my Palm, but I do communicate heavily with email and rely on Outlook for all email...
There were some posts on the notetaker (where does the name "evening module" come from) wallet a while back that now appear to be lost.
Someone recommended a less expensive alternative that I cannot recollect.
Please remind me.
:?: Will the new add on work with Outlook 97? Has anyone tried?
I would very much like to get the GTD plug-in, but I absolutely need to synchronize with my Handspring. I do 90% of my data entry on my PC, then I synchronize to my PDA; I use my Handspring to carry my info around, throughout the day and check things off when done.
Has anyone had any experience...
The problems I reported (Handspring pro syncing to Outlook using the Handspring/Chapura software) disappear with a simple expedient (suggested by Greg Bell at Netcentrics): sync with outlook running. If you sync with Outlook not running, the Outlook add-on cannot function with the Chapura software....
Anybody using Journaling Software? Something to record & ponder some of the higher realms of our lives? I've been allowing myself to get assaulted by the wide array of programs including paper that are available. I want to keep a personal journal & a professional journal.
Any ideas including...
Any new information about when the GTD Outlook plug-in will be available? Looking forward to trying/using it.
Before buying the GTD outlook add-in, I wanted to see if anyone has had any conflicts with any other Outlook add-ins? Specifically, Franklin Covey's PlanPlus for Outlook. I've finally got that one running right, and I'd like to know if anyone has both installed, and if they played well...
On its most basic level, what kind of functionality would you expect from a GTD Outlook Plug-in?
Use this control to limit the display of threads to those newer than the specified time frame.
Allows you to choose the data by which the thread list will be sorted.
Order threads in...
Note: when sorting by date, 'descending order' will show the newest results first.
