Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term:
Many have asked if they can help fight spam in this forum. In the bottom left corner of each and every post there is a little "Report Post" icon. You will need to be logged into the Forums to see this icon. It looks like this:

Since I use GTD principles I have a 'next action' list to work from. Nevertheless I sometimes need to go back to the original email or hardcopy to look at the details of what needs to be done. I found it sometimes difficult to make some kind of link between my list(s) and the origninal...
I have been a GTD wannabe for a long time. I still am a relative newbie on it, and my method isn't going to work for everyone, but now that I am investing a *little* more time into it, I am discovering just how much I love Natara Bonsai (not connected to the company in any way, shape or form; just...
For any BlackBerry user, check out the free application to add an calendar item or task from an e-mail or from the phone menu. Its been around for a while. Provides the following options from the "berry" menu.

Is there some sort of neat algorithm for project planning?
Most projects have a deadline or at least a time frame in which finishing would be desirable. Part of the desired outcome is finishing at the right time.
I have a hard time figuring out how a long a project will take. Even when I...
Many of our NextAction! users asked for an Outlook Add-In which they can use with synchronized tasks from their mobile phone. Now we have created the perfect companion for our NextAction! BlackBerry® and Windows Mobile® programs.
GTD® features as known from NextAction! right in...
I orginally posted this to the GTD connect forums, but I thought it might be usefull in the public forum.
I just wanted to share my lost-cost low/mid-tech system; using a filofax for GTD.
I've returned to study at Univeristy, and since I no-longer have a full-time income, I need...
First post here. Just wanted to share with you folks a new way I implemented an expense manager on my Blackberry 9700, as I was tired of having a ton of receipts at the end of the week and having to key them all into Quicken.
First of all, I downloaded Money for Blackberry...
Hi - I am new here. I tweaked my Outlook 2007 per David's instructions. However, I have two issues.
1. Although the "complete" box appears in the tasks on the "To-Do Bar", I am unable to check it. When I try to check it nothing happens.
2. On the "Daily Tasks List" on the bottom, I have...
My name is Jordan, I write phone apps with my brother while I travel, under the name Mijoro. We just finished our first app, a simple reminder tool called Jotter which is available on Android and Palm's WebOS, for free.
Neither my brother nor I are GTD'ers. We were just making an app...
Hi Dear members:
I am looking for a new smartphone and need some advice on finding one that works for GTD. I am sure this questions has been asked hundreds of times but I've spent the last few month researching and had no real luck. Help:(
I am using a PC, Outlook 07 with GTD add-on, am...
I'd like a smart phone that can sort tasks by category and see notes without having to use 3rd party software. (Our IT dept will not install or support any outside programs and we can only sync through MS Exchange.) Does Windows Mobile allow these functions?
What's the difference between 1/3 cut and 1/5 cut manila folders? Any disadvantage of using 1/5 cut instead of the 1/3? I don't think 1/3 cuts are available in Australia.
I am not finding the answers to my questions on the forums but I have a hard time believing they have never been asked so I apologize if this has been addressed already. The first part is the inability to set up outlook in the GTD recommended way and for it to function with chromatic dragon and...
Can someone recommend a place to buy filing cabinets with sliders in Australia? If I understand this correctly, the sliders help the 1/3 or 1/5 cut manila folders stand upright.

NEW GTD software: Information Management Tool @ Getting Things Done
Sometime ago I learned about David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology and was inspired by it greatly. Then I decided to create a tool that will help me organize my life by David Allen's methodology.
Would love to buy the GTDNow-package (https://www.getgtdnow.com/) here in Germany with a secure tax- and - delivery- flat. 79 USD is a price I could go with as a no-brainer, but the additional costs are so flexible.
Any hints where to get the material here.
Thanks and best from Germany.
Do you have any practical experience on this series? How it works?
The idea is to allow the sync tasks between the office PC with outllok and an ipod
Thanks in advance
I have been using the GTD system to some extent for about 3 years now and have now hit a bit of a snag. My current employer uses Outlook in a very locked down system. Nothing can be installed to the computer. I am also required to use a company Blackberry to view company email, calendar, and...
Looking at the forum post it appears strongly that the couple omnifocus+ipod is the best in mac suite...but which is, actually, the best complementary pda to outlook in the microsoft suite?
Surely in the past was a palm pda nut now?
Which machine is the more user friendly?
The two Staples local to me have just the Letter-size 2010 set. I was able to purchase a refill pack in the Jr size (I see they're available from DavidCo as well), but will more full 2010 Junior sets be produced?
(Yes, I am late to this party!)
