Due the abundance of information out there about "Getting Things Done" (GTD), David & Co. has responded with a web page that provides an official definition of this term:
Many have asked if they can help fight spam in this forum. In the bottom left corner of each and every post there is a little "Report Post" icon. You will need to be logged into the Forums to see this icon. It looks like this:
Simply click this icon and follow the instructions to report a...
I purchased binder pages to store my collection of discs -- music, MP3, DVD, software install, backup, etc. The pages I found were Vaultz by Ideastream, each package of which stores 200 discs -- 8 discs to a page with a pack of 25...
I am looking for the perfect wallet/jotter/notepad to fit my needs. These are my requirements:
* 3-5 credit card slots
* ID window (not a must but would prefer)
* 2 money/receipts slots (dollar bill size so I do not have to fold money in half)
* small notepad or holder for 3x5 cards
Many times when you use an external mouse with a laptop, you want the mouse speed slower than when you use the touchpad. But every time you need to switch between using the mouse and touchpad (like when you go mobile with your laptop) you have to go to the control panel to change the speed.
Of course I do realize that is the point. I just feel like the pages (not the cover) come out too easily when I don't intend them to.
So far, I only have the starter kit. And I'm really lemming the cloth-like covered ones. But before I dig in and get the whole thing, including the puncher, I...
If you haven't checked MyLifeOrganized (MLO) out in a while it might be worth a second look, or first look if you have not come across it before.
The latest Public Beta just takes MLO to the next level, and to my mind makes it an ideal GTD...
Just a note to Bonsai users and potential Bonsai users, there is an active Beta at natara.com It is advertised as a minor upgrade only; however, with a lot of encouragement, maybe there will also be some user enhancement also.
Hi, I upgraded to Outlook 2007 on a new machine. Opening a task the buttons of the GTD Plugin are on a different tab "Add-Ins".
How can I move them to the main view?
Like many of you, I have been trying to come up with an optimal system for implementing GTD using Outlook and a palm pilot. For a while I experimented with projects-as-contacts, but I've moved away from this method because Chapura KeySuite, which is necessary to use the system on the Palm, is both...
I'm really hoping someone, please please, someone can help me!
I have been interested in GTD for many years, but have never 100% dedicated myself to it; only really using selective parts of it. I think this is probably what's caused me to get frustrated every now and then with the...
I use the Outlook add-in. All my tasks start with a GTD Verb e.g. Print: Doc1 or Review: Doc 2 etc.
How do I group tasks by verb in outlook? I want to see all tasks that start with Print irrespective of the project or context.
I do not want to have Print as a context my only contexts are...
Does the Globe-Weis Everyday Fast File Sorter have a hole cut in every page? The reason I ask is because I've been trying to find one that I could actually touch and feel at some of the office supply stores, but haven't found any. I did find one made by another manufacturer, and it had a hole cut...
Dont shoot the messenger. Haven't tried it out yet.
Does anyone know of a Windows Desktop Search Tool that can find items in the Palm Desktop?
I'm looking for a kind of resume software for Vista that I'm not sure exists, but if someone knows of something like it please let me know. I've looked at several commercial resume software sites but they're high on hype and low on details. I'm willing to pay for the software if needed,...
I'm currently using a fancy hipster (Levenger index card wallet) as my 'PDA', but since I have to report to a bunch of bosses it is becoming a pita to review all my cards and type them in to make my reports, etc..
Is anyone using a simple PDA that would basically act as an electronic hipster? ...
I am a new user for the outlook add in. What software would be the best to use for a windows mobile 6 device. I have the Chapura Pocket Mirror Pro.
Is there anything else that helps sync all the folders etc.
I need a new phone. I don't necessarily need it for data entry. I know the iphone lacks a task function. But missing sync claims to sync tasks through notepad. Any experience on how well this works?
I am investigating trying out the Circa Notebooks for my GTD implementation and wondered how many pages the different sizes typically hold.
Any feedback is appreciated.
I'm running Outlook '07 on two machines and on one of them I can not get the GTD toolbar to show up no matter what I do, yet the other machine has no problems at all.
I have the toolbar in the main "mail" window, but not in the individual email windows that I open.
I'm looking for a web based app that works well on the iPhone to access small documents akin to the Palm Memos function. I keep various memos on my palm with info that is handy to access on the go (reference data). Each memo has maybe 500 words.
Is there a web based app that works...
