That's a great way of putting it. I wouldn't fancy trying to do a 'normal' mindmap in PB, but it works great for linking numerous thoughts. I still use MM more than PB though.
The nice thing about OF is you can rearrange it to make it as cluttered or uncluttered as you like. Remove columns you don't use, hide the sidebar... and save it as a perspective. Change the fonts...
If you do want to go down that route, I'm not sure you can do it in Apple Mail, but take a look at Postbox instead.
Then they've chosen the wrong contexts for their life. I don't need more than a split-second to make that decision.
They provide little value TO YOU. So you don't need to use them. But GTD isn't about tying you to rules. Use the bits that help you, ignore the bits that don't.
You missed one off your list of time wasters. Stop posting on the forums and get on with your top priority. ;)

I'd ask 2 questions:
1. Is there anything else I need to know before I can make a decision? If so, that's the next action.
2. One of David's questions - when will I be smarter? When do I...
IMHO you've missed a point... YOU decide what goes on your context and project lists.
If you sit down at your weekly review, and decide that "this top priority project" is the one thing you want...

Only planning to do X for 15 minutes (or even less if I really don't want to do it)
Lots of little milestones
Lots of little rewards!
