I would place them in a file, note the name of the file, and then reference that file name in the notes field of an appointment on my calendar.
I bought a file cabinet with the hanging file inserts, but then just took them out, and just use manilla folders. It seems to work just fine.
My folder system has become flatter and more generic over time with bigger and broader categories. I have sub folders within each folder, and I keep everything sorted by reverse date so the currect...
Often, when I'm feeling like I wasn't productive, it's when I'm focusing on the things that I've yet to do, rather than the things that I've done.
Shifting my focus to what I've actually...
I'm in the US. I really like Jott. I use a pay by the minute plan. It's quite afordable, and the transcripts are usually quite accurate.
Evernote, yojimbo, and simplenote are all apps that might do what you want.
We have taken to writing notes on a small whiteboard on the front of the fridge, reminding us of leftovers to eat up within a few days. Simple and fairly effective.
For me, the handwritten notes would go in "project support"' i.e. A manilla folder with the name of the project, filed alphabetically.
I'd also record the future next actions in my system...
[QUOTE=RELawyer;79479]...should each file be its own project? I may have 100 files open at once, which would make my Projects a little overwhelming. Or would a better approach be to have "Closings"...
Have you though about fire walling some time EACH DAY during the week to process your ins to empty?

Personally, I've always done them together, but the bottom line is that, if you need to do them separately... First one then the other, then do that!
1) I'd say that while thinking about a project, I might think of many actions (and capture these into project support) most of the the time the real NEXT action to get the project moving takes less...
I gave all my graduate students a copy of GTD and told them to read it. I try to model the best practices for them. I'm not sure any of them really get it :)
I believe the official :) DA suggestion is to use hanging folders with ONE manilla file folder per hanging folder.
This is the solution I use at work, where the only choice is hanging folder style...
It seems like you DO need to take the PDA out of the equation, and just use paper.
The other option would be to build processing time into each day, and then use that time to process into the PDA,...
It sounds to me like you need to get everything for each client on ONE list, and them manage that list for that client.
It also sounds like part of the problem is that you have items in more than...
It makes filing fast, easy and fun. I love the look of a labeled folder. It's one of those little mental tricks that just works to help you stay organized.
Why not try it and see if it works for...
I think the trick is to pick a system and stick with it. I dump stuff to the OF inbox, and then regularly process stuff out of that inbox into OF proper, assigning projects, context, etc.
My OF...
