This is helpful. The only thing I would eliminate is the "Don't read" folder. If it is there, it will tempt me. If it's out of sight, it's out of mind.

Maybe this is as simple as the fact that you aren't an audio learner. Some people learn best by reading, some by watching, and some by listening.

I personally use Entourage. It has problems but it is working for me. However, if this isn't to your liking, you might try Daylite:

Yes, you can easily do this. Every contact record has a Categories field. Just open the record. You should see the Categories field in the lower right-hand side of the window.
