You will most probably end up with lots and lots of sub-projects. But with things like annual plans, it's often the case that the majority of those projects are not active all at the same time. ...
Any advice will help me guys! Basically I have a need to develop annual plans in my job with a variety of generic and specific activities dated. The normal format might be an excel sheet that shows...
Yes, I guess it also depends on your personal style. For some procrastinators, its better to see - "write intro" than "finish document".
thanks, thats good advice. will try to do as you all suggest
Hello,
Back on the GTD bamdwagon and confused around next actions...any help appreciated.

A lot of my problems stem from trying to use the GTD approach to manage a team and the wide range of projects undertaken. Maybe there is a better way
Thanks, some good points. You may have hit the key issue when you talk about an overview outside GTD. I have been using an outliner for projects with linked NAs. Problem is that I have gone gone the...

Does anyone use GTD to manage a team at work, if so would you be prepared to share your thoughts on how its done?
I've cut this down to once a day for the paper in tray and 3x a day for email.
Email is the real killer for me - it needs discipline to stay clear until processing time.
For me a habit I really am trying to develop is reading my goals first thing everyday to keep them at the front of mind all day.
Suit and tie everytime works for me
I set annual goals for my department. I then make a plan broken down into projects to acheive each goal.
Each month I update the plan and transfer current projects to my projects list.
So my...
You might want to use a 'digital' tickler for point 3 - i use outlook tasks for this and just check it weekly for upcoming reminders.
I found it really hard to get fit until I got really interested in a sport (running). Pick a sport and read up on it - get really keen - if you do it because you love it the fitness benefits just...
I use a CRM contact manager e.g. ACT and manage my sales calls and relationships outside the GTD system. For me it a lot more effective this way. Otherwise my projects and actions lists are...
I have to seperate them. There is something depressing about looking at a work list at the weekend! Its also more practical for me to seperate the lists. I still do a joint weekly review though.
