The Tasks program in GMail now will allow one to transfer a task from one list (or category) to another, and one can combine or split tasks.
With this change the GMail Tasks program really does...
Just an update on the Google gMail Tasks program. It can now be accessed from an iPhone. The task list on the mobile unit is automatically synced with the task list in gMail.
Now, all they need to...
It's just called Tasks. It's the first entry on the Labs page right now.
Best wishes,
Scot Giles
Just FYI. The folks at Google have added an integrated Task Management program to gMail (it's in Labs, go there and click on it to enable).
It's a basic sort of thing. No categories, but you can...
There would be no reason to buy an iPhone unless you want one for some other reason.
Notes and Task on the Mac do not sync to the iPhone, so you get the functionality I described only on the Mac...
If you upgrade to Leopard, the newest incarnation of the operating system you gain a new feature.
Calendar Events and Tasks are shared throughout the operating system and can be accessed in more...
I've played with a lot of Mac applications for GTD too.
Then, one day I realized that OX10 Leopard has a simple way of doing GTD. Any Task you create on a Note in Mail shows up in iCal too....
You are correct that iCal Tasks do not sync to the iPhone unless they are attached to a specific dated entry.
I think you are right that Jobs lives out of the Mail program and the relationship...
There is a new program for GTD on the Mac called Task Paper (http://hogbaysoftware.com/products/taskpaper) from Hog Bay Software.
It's a simple little thing for keeping lists with project and...

Yes, all that is true for Windows users, or for Mac users who wish to forego the iPhone.
The problem is you have to forego the iPhone.
This new machine is stunningly beautiful, fast and...
Sure. I think all the Applists will be happy to comment on how the iPhone evolves. It's the very first gadget of its kind from Apple and there are sure to be changes. As it's software driven, we will...
Hi Folks,
As a committed Applist I got one of the first iPhones.
At the present time it's not the best platform for GTD. There is a notes function, but it's lame. All you can do with a note is...
Hi Michael,
I explain how I use iCal in another post. Here is the link

Glad to help,

I'm on the list for the iPhone and am looking forward to it. Obviously, as it has not been released yet we do not know what its capabilities will be. However, it does appear to have full support for...
A number of the folks here who use iCal find that there is a work-around for the limitations of the task list.
Use the Professional, Personal, etc. calendars for all appointments, not tasks.

I'm a Mac user and a long-time user of GTD. I tried Kinkless, and it is a good program, but found I really wanted something more simple.
So I just use iCal, which is free with your Mac and will...
Hi There,
Before buying my Palm Treo I checked out the Sony Ericsson P900 phone and the Symbian operating system it uses to see if it would work for my purposes.
Unfortunately, the answer to...
The difficulty of where to put little things after you have processed them is one that can be handled in a couple of ways.
One way is to have "Action Support" files. I have a stack of plastic...
Maybe. On the other hand this could just be a prototype. There are other pictures of other rumored "Treo" phones around. For example: http://www.churchoflivingfaith.com/images/treo800g.jpg for a...
