That is exactly why it is better to use dedicated time (1-2 per day) for processing your stuff. Also as it is suggested in the GTD book once your mind switch to "processing" mode you'll be doing it...
It looks like you are putting only work related items in your system. How about items related to something you have to do at home, errands, read/review? Potentially you can gain much bigger effect...
