I agree this is a great thread - simple is good!
I really like the "No residue" one, as well as the classic "a place for everything and everything in its place".
Way too often I violate both of those. I don't finish things and that ALWAYS comes back to bite me. And I lose things because I don't have a good filing system and my memory is even worse!
But in trying to fix all that, "No Residue" is a tremendous manta - thanks!
Now that I've been immersed in this GTD stuff for a few weeks, one of my favorite mantras is "Do it when it shows up, not when it blows up". It's tough to do for a long time procrastinator like me, but it is one of the noblest goals I can think of.
