    Default Tasker for android

In case anyone with an android phone hasn't come across this app its really worth a look into. Essentially its a simplified scripting engine for android which means you can program your to do all kinds of things automatically. A few of the things that are helpful productivity wise include

Have a specific task list launch at a certain location (such as at the shops)
Create a button that opens an email to yourself with "In" in the subject heading
Read out loud SMS messages received in the car
Turn off ringer and email sync automatically when in scheduled meetings
SMS people back when unavailable (whether in meetings or on holiday)
Turn off the ringer at night unless its for specific people
Make the phone silent when face down
Turn mobile data and wifi on and off for specific programs, like your mail app or maps.

Plus it does all kind of other things that are useful but not specifically productivity based, like save your battery by only turning data on every 20 mins then autosyncing. It can turn up the brightness in the day only when people call. it can load your music apps when you plug in your headset, and so on.

    Well worth a look

    Default Tasker for android

Tasker is an application for Android which performs Tasks (sets of Actions) based on Contexts (application, time, date, location, event, gesture) in user-defined Profiles, or in clickable or timer home screen widgets.
This simple concept profoundly extends your control of your Android device and it's capabilities, without the need for 'root' or a special home screen.

Tasker came 3rd in the Productivity category in the Android Developer Challenge 2.
