You are waiting for someone else to do something, in this case, you are waiting for them to get you the money...

Imagine you are buying a house, and you have to wait for the bank to give you an answer about a loan, then your project doesn't suddenly become a someday/maybe. You have the project going on, and it is in waiting for-modus, because for this particular phase, it's out of your hands. At the same time you mighgt have other next actions for that same project, like contacting an immo, or visit houses.
