Default Software for GTD/productivity in China

I arrived last night in Beijing for a program hosted at the Chinese Academy of Science, so I'm behind the great firewall. Omnifocus and Toodledo appear to sync about as well as in the US, but Things beta fails to sync. I suspect it's because Cultured Code uses some homegrown technology, but that's just a guess. I haven't tried many of my standard tools like Dropbox and Evernote yet, but I will be staying long enough to try them all. I'll post more if anyone is interested.

The question is: "What do Omnifocus and Toodledo sync with?"

The server's always been a mac mini inside the forbidden city- I thought you knew.
Seriously, there's no need to intercept packets, when you can just do a deep inspection.

I'm curious about what will and won't work there so post away. Not that I expect to use it anytime soon but I find it interesting.

    Default Note software

Evernote seems to work, but Simple Note "fails to find the server."
Also, an attempt to download a preview of the salacious
"Fifty Shades of Gray" from the Apple Bookstore failed with
"You need to download the iBook app." This is of course nonsense,
because that's the app that's giving the message.
Further testing revealed, however, that only notorious books are blocked.
I didn't test "Wealth of Nations" or "Das Kapital".

I lived in China. I can sync OmniFocus using free www.spootnik.net service. The evernote is also very good. But google, dropbox and any other is sometimes not available , tweet is never accessible. That's our powerful firewall.

Dropbox seems to work ok on a mac, but the iOS app fails sometimes. 3rd-party iOS apps that use Dropbox fail consistently and completely. iCloud seems to work.

Google news is buried 2 menus down, and some sites won't load at all. Local sources tell me that local residents pay for a VPN account that tunnels out of the country.
