Default Do individual Customers equal individual Projects ?

I work with many large national companies and hotel chains that have subsiduaries. If a national customer reports an issue at say one of his hotels would this be a project ( assuming it meets the criteria 2 or more actions ) listed under in this instance the Customer/owner , The individual hotel or the area manager requesting or would it be another definied heading.
I would be interested to hear of the way others deal with this bearing in mind there are many such organisations i get involved with directly or through reportees..
i hope ive eplained it clearly enough to enable some much needed feedback from you experts out there

    Regards

    Mike

For me, all the customers would be a single area of focus. I would maintain a list of customers that I could scan periodically to make sure I am not neglecting any. This could be either a part of my AoF mind map or on a separate sheet or computer file.

Resolving an individually reported issue would likely become a project in my system.

It would be one of your Areas of Focus if you are maintaining or overseeing the relationship with that hotel. Areas of Focus don't go away until you stop maintaining or overseeing that area.

It would be a project if there is something to resolve or complete with that hotel, within the next 12 months. Projects always have a defined finish line or outcome.

To me, it sounds like the hotel would be an Area of Focus, but this particular issue, if you are involved in the resolution of this, would be a current project.
