I haven't tried it myself, but I've read some positive reviews of "Sciral Consistency," a program designed to fill the gap between "the calendar and the to-do list." It's available in Mac and PC formats. Cost for an unexpiring version is $0 with limitations on some features (don't know what because they don't say and I haven't tried it). It's $25 for a registration key. May be worth looking at as an adjunct to whatever you're using, to keep track of recurring nonsense that has to be done but seems too piddly to put on your calendar.
I have no affiliation with the product or company, just read about it.

Happy 2005 to All!
