Here is something that may able to assist note-making, graphing and mind mapping people:

I have hacked this myself for my own use a while ago, but I think at the moment it is pretty useful to release it. By default it should suit for many people, but if you want to customize, there are couple of good options. For example, there are Page Size (Letter, Legal, A4, A3, A5); Line Thickness; Minimum Border; Color of the grid line and; Grid Spacing.
