I think we have different definitions of "on the up and up." If someone's "site" consists solely of an email address collection form, I become very suspicious. I become even more suspicious if that person's web presence (http://www.blairhornbuckle.com/; Google is a wonderful tool) consists mostly of affiliate links to other email address collection forms.
