more problematic than helpful
Hi, Jamie!
I used NeatReceipts for over a year but I found that, although it recognized much of the receipt data and was able to put it in the correct field, I had to manually enter something anyway for practically each receipt. Drove me nuts.
Also, Evernote, which I now use constantly, isn't integrated into NeatReceipts' export options. Here's what they say on their website: "First, create a new folder on your computer called "For Evernote." This is where you'll save your scanned PDFs into. You'll then need to tell Evernote to look in this folder for any new documents you've scanned in." ( http://www.neat.com/solutions/neat-f...d-neatreceipts) Hardly elegant.
And when I upgraded to Lion on my Mac, I could no longer get into the NeatReceipts app. Tech support was awful... I contacted them last August repeatedly, with no response, then in December I got a Customer Service Survey...
I use a doxie scanner now (http://www.getdoxie.com/). Great interface, saves out to Evernote and many, many more apps... can't say enough good about it.
Good luck!
PS: just saw that your original post was from 2007... I'm a little late to the party! But I brought great hors d'oeuvres!
