WE ROCK. i.e. we hold excellence as a standard for our company and our culture
It’s important that our workshops, written and recorded materials, and products represent the best there is in our subject area of productivity, and that we are constantly on the lookout for ways to keep them that way.
We demonstrate the value we provide to the world (aka we do GTD).
We hold ourselves and each other accountable to practice what we teach, providing our own coaching services to all staff. We expect that everyone in the company agrees that the GTD best practices are really the best practices.
We provide extraordinary service to our clients, colleagues, and ourselves.
We actively look for opportunities to go the extra mile in our interactions with customers and inquiries. We extend our assistance to each other and work together to get the job done. We acknowledge and support each of us taking care of ourselves as necessary for health and well-being.
We focus on the highest good for all concerned.
We assume there is a “highest good,” though we may not know precisely what this is; and we hold the intention to be open to its unfolding. We acknowledge that our personalities are useful servants, but not the final arbiters of company decisions.
WE DO GOOD WORK. i.e. we consistently provide value into the world
We know that GTD has beneficial and often transformational outcomes for each and every individual and organization that participates with the education and materials, and we are committed to continue and magnify the results of that standard.
We are good global citizens, providing significant value to the communities within which we operate.
We consistently offer a portion of our products and services pro bono to people and organizations that do good work, including access to seminars, coaching, and other donated contributions. We are good customers to our vendors, and good citizens of our community.
WE MAKE MONEY. i.e. we ensure that our business is vital and viable
We support the best players for the play, and let the best ideas win.
We hold the highest good of the organization as the criterion for how we allocate our resources and make decisions, as distinct from merely acceding to someone’s authority.
We hold ourselves accountable for optimal strategies that support our expansion and maximum return on our invested resources.
We are as smart as we can be about the goals and objectives we commit to, to achieve maximum success for the company and everyone involved. We watch where we put our time, money, and energy closely with all this in mind.
We generate healthy profitability and reinvest to fund growth.
Our tactical focus is to optimize revenues and minimize expenses, while investing as much time and resources as we can to support our expansion.
At every level we work to maintain an effective, appropriate focus of our money, time, and energy.
We consistently reevaluate the priorities of our active projects and commitments.
WE HAVE FUN. i.e. we sustain a rich, engaging culture
We think nice is the best way to be with each other, while maintaining honest and direct communication.
We pay active attention to each other and conditions in the company, and take responsible and caring actions to directly address perceived concerns and opportunities.
We check in with each other regularly on how we’re doing, and provide support as best we can to assist in situations that could use our help.
We provide and encourage a relaxed, comfortable, healthy and nurturing work environment.
We dress and work as comfortably as we can while maintaining appropriate decorum. Dogs, shorts, and flip-flops are fine so long as they aren’t distractions from getting the work done. Our workspaces are clean, attractive, and functional.
We communicate honestly and directly, while respecting and listening to each other with openness and generosity of spirit.
We bring up issues and concerns directly with those who can do something about them. We keep our interactions fun and lighthearted as much as possible.
We love having fun, laughing, and celebrating all wins.
We find, notice, and acknowledge reasons to enjoy what we’re doing, and give ourselves and each other both cause and permission to celebrate! A sense of humor is a treasured commodity in our culture.
We continually challenge ourselves to grow, explore, and expand, personally and professionally.
We provide five paid training days each year as well as paid time off to allow ourselves to rest and rejuvenate. We support attendance at personal growth workshops.
We leverage the wisdom of the group.
We include as much input as we can in our decision-making and idea development, and trust that often the whole is greater than the sum of the parts in our collaborations.
We respect one another’s unique gifts, strengths, and approaches.
We use the information available from assessments to better understand one another and learn how to work most effectively together, and stay open to new understandings and techniques for keeping our interactions rich and rewarding.
