There is no denying that on a long trip overseas you have to bring cords, adapters, the ipod, headset, pda, all sorts of hardware as well as file folders and support material for work to be done. I wanted a new bag, I was tired of hauling everything in my dull carry on and needed a bag that rolled.
Scully is a neighbor of ours, I have been looking at their bags for over a year now and connected with them again at a recent trade show. In business since 1906 they have a reputation for quality and value- we wanted both in products for our new travel section. My husband (and quality mentor) Randy Harward is the director of quality at Patagonia, he gave me his stamp of approval after looking closely at this piece. He agreed it is well constructed. The sewing is beautifully done, the leather soft and durable and I love that this work bag is available in other colors besides black (I bought the citrus green one). I quickly found out just how versatile this bag is!
It performed beautifully on my 2 1/2 week trip, exceeding my expectations. If I wanted something I knew exactly where it was. If I needed more space, I found it - I could not fill it up.
